Do you seem to bump into invisible blockages in your life?

Something that’s holding you back but for some reason or other you just can’t see what it is?

Others just to seem to glide through it without an issue or problem with it at all, but for you it’s a different story.

For some of us we have conflicts in our internal values and belief systems, and as all our actions arise from these values and beliefs these conflicts hold us back whether we’re consciously aware of it or not.

THE UNEXAMINED LIFE

Plato quoted Socrates as saying: “The unexamined life is not worth living.”

Socrates inspired those around him to question the accepted beliefs of their time, and to think for themselves.

I whole-heartedly consider this to be still to be the case even more so today. But without examining we can’t be clear as to what is guiding us or holding us back. Strangely this process of examining can be quite good fun.

FIRST STEP

The first step in examining the values and beliefs that run your life is to become clear on what they are.

So, make a list of the top 10-15 Values (or even feelings) that you strive to have in your life, you know the one’s you’re trying to move towards… Things like Love, Happiness, Confidence, Sensuality, Respect, Personal Power, Being Admired, Freedom, Fun, Success, Wealth, Responsibility, Abundance.. etc

Then make a list of the Values you’re trying to move away from.. like fear, abuse, anger, resentment, jealousy, greed, lust, violence.. you know whatever you feel you’re trying to avoid, move away from, don’t want in your life.

When you have both of these lists number each value in order of it’s importance to you, not to someone else – to you.

So the most important Moving Towards Value is numbered 1, second numbered 2, etc.. And do the same with your list of 10-15 moving away from Values, numbered 1-15.

Examine your lists see if any of the values are in conflict with each other.. Be aware of the most important values to you (numbered 1 – 5).These conflicts are discussed int the video below:
